Walkies With Perks would like to sincerely thank all our customers for complying with our policies.
If you are new to us, or thinking of making a booking, we kindly ask you to become familiar with our following policies before making a booking with us.
Please get in touch if you have any enquiries.
We require at least 48 hours notice for cancellations. You will not be charged if we get that notice. Unfortunately, we will still need to charge for any walks or training sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice.
We have a pre-payment policy. We kindly ask for all walks to be paid prior to the booking dates, at least 48 hours prior. This can be done once a week for the up and coming week of bookings or once a month for the up and coming month of bookings. At the meet and greet please choose which one. Please note, if we have to repeatedly chase payments, we sadly may not be able to continue walking your dog.
It is a legal requirement in the UK for all dogs to have an identity tag on their collar. The legislation that stipulates this is called The Control of Dogs Order 1992. UK law states all dog owners must ensure their dog is wearing a dog tag or has their details inscribed or printed on a dog collar. Please note, our insurance will not be covered if your dog doesn't wear this legal tag.
In UK law, there are two specific pieces of information that should be contained on a dog tag. 1) the dog owner’s name and 2)the dog owner’s address. (a telephone number is also highly recommended to ensure a quicker return of your dog should the need arise)

We still walk in the rain and most weather conditions. If you cancel walks due to the rain we will still need to charge for the walk. If the weather is extreme and unsafe to take dogs out in, we will always do our best to swap days if possible and wont charge for walks that cant be.
We do our utmost to return your dog back as clean and dry as possible! We have a great water hose system set up in our van to wash down mud and dirt and plenty of towels to dry down afterwards. However, particularly during the colder, wet and muddy months we cannot guarantee they will come home as clean as they left, especially after one of our fun and exciting adventure walks. We highly recommend leaving an additional towel near your front door and covering or restricting any areas of your home that you want protected from wetness/marks or you want to be kept strictly clean. If you are not home we are happy to close any doors you advise us to at the meet & greet or via text message. After trying our utmost to clean your dog after a walk, we cannot be held responsible for any marks on areas of the home they have access to. We hope for your understanding.
We no longer do dog walks on Bank holidays. We used to but soon found the majority of owners to cancel walks booked on these days. Sometimes, we can get cover by another local dog walker if you need us to. Please enquire if you want us to do this. But please note, it is not guaranteed that they will have availability but we will always do our best to help when possible. Each year both Rob and Jemma take 2 weeks off work in August (sometimes 2 weeks in a row, other times two separated weeks) but we will give you plenty of notice. Usually at least 2-3 months notice but often more, so you have plenty of time to make alternative arrangements if needed. Again, we may be able to get cover for you if you ask us.
We recommend you joining our Walkies With Perks Watts App group chat for important updates and holiday date reminders. It is not an open chat. It is simply for admin members to add important dates or info that you can each find easily without having to search through our 1-2-1 messages. We don't inundate it with messages and it can be muted and checked at your own convenience.
If you choose to arrange a 'no obligation meet and greet' with us, we will need you to provide us with your registered vet contact details, microchip details, any vaccination dates and contact details of a trusted local adult or neighbour (for in the unfortunate case of not being able to contact you in an emergency)
